Candida is one of the genus of yeasts which causes fungal infections through its many specie including Candida albicans present in human intestine. It is, generally in check until the good bacteria of intestinal flora are out numbered by this yeast. When the Candida yeast becomes uncontrolled, it can enter the bloodstream. This happens when the mucosal barriers are damaged or the immune system of the person gets compromised.
