Get this:

  • Water- 1/2 cup
  • Tea tree oil- 4 drops
  • Cotton ball or a pad

Do this:

  • Wash your face with your regular soap and pat it dry.
  • Now mix the tea tree oil with water.
  • Soak the cotton pad in this diluted tea tree oil.
  • Apply it on your acne.
  • Leave it for about 20-30 minutes.
  • By this time, it will dry off. You don’t actually need to wash it off.
  • Repeat this at least twice a day.

Use Tea Tree Oil with Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil and tea tree oil mix for acne has greater benefits than you can imagine. Jojoba oil is has such a composition that is closest to human sebum. When you use jojoba oil for acne, your skin assumes that the amount of sebum produced is already much greater and thus it stops the production of more sebum. Further, jojoba oil is anti-bacterial in nature. It also has good anti-oxidant properties. Above all, it is safe and non-toxic. When you mix such a wonderful oil with the excellent tea tree oil, it makes a great remedy for acne.

Get this:

  • Jojoba oil- 1 tsp
  • Tea tree oil- 5 drops

Do this:

  • Wash your face and pat it dry.
  • Combine jojoba and tea tree oil and mix well.
  • Take a cotton ball and pour this mixture over it.
  • Apply this to your acne. Instead of rubbing, just dab it on acne.
  • Repeat 3-4 times a day.

Use Aloe Vera and Tea Tree Oil for Acne

Aloe vera is a miracle herb for skin. It not only has excellent moisturizing properties but is also a skin rejuvenation herb. The enzymes present in aloe vera lead to production of new skin cells and heal it faster, not to mention the scar removing capability of aloe vera due to this quality! When you use aloe vera and tea tree oil for acne, you prevent your skin from getting too dry. Get this:

  • Aloe vera gel- 1-2 tsp
  • Tea tree oil- 4-5 drops
  • Lukewarm water

  • Leave it for 20-30 minutes or till it dries off.

Make Clay Mask with Tea Tree Oil for Acne

Calcium bentonite clay also increases your blood circulation to speed up the healing process. Green clay is also extensively used with tea tree oil for acne. It removes impurities, tightens the skin pores, tones the skin, exfoliates dead skin cells as well as reduces inflammation of skin due to acne.

Get this:

  • Green clay/ Bentonite clay- 2 tbsp
  • Tea tree oil- 3-4 drops
  • Water- enough to make paste

Do this:

  • Mix enough water with the clay to make a paste that is smooth enough to spread on your face skin.
  • Add tea tree oil drops to this clay paste.
  • Now wash your face, pat it dry and apply the clay mask all over your face.
  • Leave it for about 20-30 minutes to dry off.
  • Wash it off with warm water and pat dry.
  • Apply some moisturizing agent if required.
  • Initially repeat this daily for two weeks and then do it twice a week. Eventually reduce it to once a week.

Honey and Tea Tree Oil Mask for Acne

Honey with its antimicrobial properties makes a great remedy for acne. It not only cleanse your skin pores but also prevents bacteria and other microbes from growing there. The excellent moisturizing properties of honey also keep your skin soft and smooth. Mix honey with tea tree oil and make an unbeatable mask to get rid of acne.

Get this:

  • Honey- 1 tbsp
  • Tea tree oil- 2-3 drops
  • Warm water

 

Do this:

  • Mix honey and tea tree oil well.
  • Apply this to your acne or all over your face.
  • Leave it for 20-30 minutes.
  • Wash off with warm water.
  • Repeat 2-3 times a week.

Tea Tree Oil Scrub for Acne

There are many ingredients that can be used with tea tree oil to make an anti-acne scrub. Two of such ingredients are baking soda and coconut oil. Baking soda not only gently exfoliates your skin but also balances its pH level making it impossible for bacteria to thrive in there. It also has mild anti-inflammatory and anti-septic properties that soothe your acne ridden skin. Coconut oil too has its own benefits when it comes to treat acne. Its medium chain fatty acids make it anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal so that it may fight off the bacteria living on your skin. It also neutralizes the drying effect of tea tree oil by effectively moisturizing the skin. What more, all its antioxidants go to nourish your skin from within!

Get this:

  • Coconut oil- 1/2 cup
  • Baking soda 1/2 cup
  • Tea tree oil- 15-20 drops
  • Glass jar to store

Do this:

  • Mix all the three main ingredients and store it in the glass jar.
  • To use it, first wash off your face and pat it dry.
  • Now take a little mixture out of the jar and apply to your face.
  • Massage gently for a couple of minutes.
  • Leave it there for another 2-4 minutes.
  • Now wash off with warm water.
  • You may apply some moisturizer after the scrub treatment.
  • Do this daily, preferably before you go to sleep at night.

Oatmeal Tea Tree Oil Mask for Acne

This is actually honey oatmeal mask with the goodness of tea tree oil for acne. If you have sensitive skin with acne, you can safely use this as it contains oatmeal. Oatmeal is a good cleansing agent for such skin. Additionally it has anti-inflammatory properties that soothes your skin. Honey, you have already read, is a natural anti-bacterial and moisturizing agent that treats your acne perfectly. No need to mention tea tree oil for its all anti-bacterial and anti-septic properties that are so apt for acne.

Get this:

  • Ground oatmeal- 2 tbsp
  • Honey- 2 tbsp
  • Tea tree oil- 4-5 drops
  • Lemon juice (optional)- 1/2 tbsp

Do this:

  • If its not ground, grind the oatmeal to get its powder.
  • Now combine the ground oatmeal, honey, tea tree oil and lemon juice if using.
  • Mix it well to make a paste.
  • Apply this to your face.
  • Leave for about 20 minutes.
  • Wash it off.
  • Repeat this twice a week, preferably before you go to bed.

Yogurt and Tea Tree Oil for Acne

Yogurt is a fine natural astringent with lots of nutrients within itself that can help heal your skin from within. The lactic acid in yogurt helps kill the bacteria that cause acne. It also balances pH levels of your skin to prevent further breakouts. While you can include plain yogurt in your daily diet to get its innumerable health benefits, you can even mix it with tea tree oil to apply it topically to treat acne.

Get this:

  • Plain yogurt- 2-3 tbsp
  • Tea tree oil- 2-3 drops

Do this:

  • Add the oil to the yogurt and mix well.

  • Water- 15 parts

Do this:

  • Mix i part of tea tree oil to 15 parts of water.
  • Apply this mixture to the acne cysts. Do not apply it to the healthy skin surrounding your cysts.
  • Repeat 3 times a day.

How to Use Tea Tree Oil for Acne Scars

While tea tree oil basically heals acne, it can even be useful in treating acne scars only if you mix it with certain other ingredients.

Baking Soda and Tea Tree Oil for Acne Scars

Baking soda is a natural exfoliant that sloughs of scarred tissue or the skin cells. This in turn leads your skin to activate its natural healing properties. This helps fade away acne scars.

Get this:

  • Baking soda- 1 part
  • Water -2 parts
  • Tea tree oil- 2-3 drops

Do this:

  • Mix the ingredients into a smooth paste.
  • Apply this to the skin having acne scar.
  • Rub gently in circular motion for a couple of minutes.
  • Now wash off.
  • Repeat daily.

Aloe Vera, Vitamin E and Tea Tree Oil Fade Acne Scars

Aloe vera, as you have read earlier, facilitates healing of skin. When you combine it with vitamin E, this quality of healing doubles up. Vitamin E can penetrate deep into your skin. It then heals the scar right from the base.

Get this:

  • Aloe vera gel- 2 tbsp
  • Vitamin E- 1 capsule or 1 tsp
  • Tea tree oil- 2-3 drops

 

Do this:

  • Mix all the ingredients. If using a Vitamin E capsule, puncture the capsule to get vitamin E oil.
  • Apply this to your face or skin where you have scars.
  • Leave it for 30 minutes. You may even leave it overnight.
  • Wash it off with cold water.
  • Repeat daily.

Olive Oil and Tea Tree Oil for Acne Scar Healing

Olive oil is an excellent natural moisturizer. With all its anti-oxidant properties, it promotes healing of scarred skin like nothing else. It helps bring back the natural elasticity of your skin so that you get rid of scar faster.

Get this:

  • Olive oil- 1-2 tsp
  • Tea tree oil- 1 drop
  • Glass bottle

 

Do this:

  • Mix both the oils and store in a small glass bottle.
  • To use it, just take a pea size drop of this oil mixture.
  • Apply this to your face and massage it gently for a minute or two.
  • Do this daily.
